A person, an ambition:
Daniel Eclache
Our Phodé history began in 1996 with Daniel Eclache, a man passionate about science and, more particularly, about olfaction. A veterinarian by training, Daniel held a fascination with the brain and the power of scents. Convinced of the ability of olfactory molecules to influence well-being, emotions and behaviour, he founded Phodé with a clear vision: to improve everyday life with solutions that improve well-being, pleasure and performance in equal measure. Armed with his expertise, he began by applying his innovative ideas to livestock farming.
Galenics, chemistry and industrialisation:
Pierre Etienne
Pierre Etienne joined Phodé in 1998. A chemist by training, he set up the first production workshop with Daniel. Laboratories were then created along with some first product formulations and the unique formulation technologies for which Phodé is still famous. Pierre, a clear pillar of the company, assumed the position of R&D and Industry Manager then became Assistant Managing Director. His long-term vision and thorough knowledge of the company resulted in his promotion to the role of Managing Director, while continuing to instil the spirit of innovation and growth that has driven Phodé from the outset.
Innovation & development:
Virginie Noirot et Marion Allaoua
Our R&D department is led by two iconic women:
Virginie Noirot and Marion Allaoua. Virginie, now Head of R&D, joined Phodé in 1999 and launched the first scientific programmes. Together with Daniel, she designed flagship ranges such as Optifeed and Cristalfeed for livestock farming, as well as Innolphae® for nutraceuticals. Marion joined the team in 2015 via a CIFRE thesis on the microbiota. She has since contributed to major innovations such as the Olpheel range for aquaculture.
Working alongside the R&D team and laboratories, they drive product innovations allying science and better being.

Over the years, Phodé has attracted new talent, including aromatics experts who work in our dedicated laboratory. The team now brings together its skills to support our different areas of Phodé business. Their diverse profiles help enrich our unique know-how.

Phodé owes its reputation, since its inception, to its galenic techniques. Developed initially by Daniel Eclache and Pierre Etienne, they are now perpetuated by the new generation, a team of experts in constant search, as before, of innovations to concentrate, transport and protect the active ingredients created by the company.
Leadership

In 2024, Daniel Eclache, President of Phodé, appointed Pierre Etienne as Managing Director and Nathalie Legendre as Assistant Managing Director, both key figures at Phodé. They were natural choices to head the Group. Their number one aim is to preserve the company’s independence through strong growth.

Phodé currently relies on its team of passionate, dedicated employees to perpetuate this human adventure. Each, through their expertise and involvement, is helping to shape Phodé’s path.
